Ten years. We still remember. We still fight. On June 12, 2016, 49 lives were taken at Pulse nightclub in Orlando. We say their names. We hold their families close. And we honor them not only with our grief, but with our action. #HonorThemWithAction
Ten years. We still remember. We still fight.

On June 12, 2016, 49 lives were taken at Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Many of them were our own: hijos, hermanas, primos, amigos. Latino, LGBTQ+, young, full of life. That night fell on Latin Night, and our community carried a loss that still echoes a decade later.

We say their names. We hold their families close. And we honor them not only with our grief, but with our action.

Ten years later, the work is not done. We continue to push for the protections that could prevent the next tragedy:

🕯️ Passing the Disarm Hate Act to keep firearms out of the hands of those convicted of hate crimes
🕯️ Stronger gun safety laws, including expanded background checks
🕯️ Closing the gaps that let firearms fall into dangerous hands
🕯️ Real protections against hate crimes targeting our LGBTQ+ community
🕯️ Permanent recognition of the National Pulse Memorial

Bigotry combined with easy access to weapons has cost our community too much, from Orlando to El Paso. Nuestra comunidad merece vivir sin miedo. Our people deserve to dance, to love, and to come home safe.

To the 49: we carry you with us. To the survivors and families: we stand with you, today and every day.

#HonorThemWithAction
