for those not aware.. the median steam game does not make very much (these are outdated lifetime revenue numbers, but they are probably much worse now). daily deals requiring five figure revenue excludes most of games. Mega Knockdown has yet to crack $10,000 lifetime even before steam's 30% cut

steam removing daily deals seems bad and I don't trust it. otoh, the barrier to entry for "daily deal" curation (reportedly tens of thousands of dollars of revenue) was already way out of reach for many devs. i can see this system being somehow worse though, steam's algorithm is often very suspect

At this point, though, if someone contends they've never even heard of Under Night In-Birth II [Sys:Celes] or the GRD system, it may say more about the gamer than the game. Or, for that matter, what they want to project to the world. Perhaps there is a deeper reason they don't win vorpal

Vaguely related but I'm thinking about trying to explain fighting game mind game stuff to my sister and saying how you can be good in rock paper scissors and to demo it, I threw paper 9 times, beating her rock every time. She then switched to scissors as I threw rock. I then ran out of the room.

Maybe I'm not alone in this because I know some people like to censor their opponents handle when making a clip. I myself don't really mind getting clipped, I'm pretty comfortable with being a mid level fighting gamer

Whenever I post a clip of me playing something there's a part of me that's like like, hmm, that's not really optimal, or, oh, I shouldn't have gotten hit by that, but then I kinda discard it because I don't think I'm ever that judgemental of other people playing. I'm just like, "oh thats neat"
