I don’t like when the Habs are winning, but I really enjoy when the Leafs are losing. (Especially in Toronto)

Hockey is back. Ottawa ain’t playin, and I am conflicted about which game to watch tonigh. Panthers vs hurricanes to see the likely blood bath or Canadiens vs Leafs to see how the two blood feud teams stack up. Decisions, decisions….

I watched Neil Peart: No one’s Disciple today. What an intimate and exceptionally well crafted documentary. It is a beautiful and touching tribute as told by his friends. If you know of Peart or his drumming, I highly recommend it. It is a homage of his exceptional talent and his humanity.

Florian Xhekaj is such a greaseball. He knew what he was doing against a young player and he did it anyhow.

Eklund sadly fails his first test as a Senator: reporter asks him why he thought it was important to win the game and he says "well, you want to win every game" instead of the correct answer: Fuck The Habs.

Ottawa Senators on Fanatics is still trying to sell Brady Tkachunk jerseys... YO, your algorithm is saying you have a lot of those in stock so they should be pushed by marketing. Might be a reason for that, so maybe ignore what Ai is suggesting?

Happy International dog day! Meet Louis! He is a Golden Doodle, though he is trimmed short due to the summer heat out in Kelowna. He loves food, though he is a bit of a food snob, but he really loves hiking and climbing, running and exploring and also cuddling when he is on his downtime.

Hmm, the 4th MLA since Kerry-Lynne Findlay was elected leader left the BC Conservatives today. And even though the BC NDP has reached its political best before date, the BC Cons are tanking in the polls too. Maybe if you didn't elect a Maple Maga racist as leader, this wouldn't be happening.

Rough flight home. Stuck for 3 hours on the taxiway at JFK during a ground stop. A storm rolled in and slammed the place. The Aircraft was seriously shaking. And then all the phones lit up with a tornado warning. We took off much later but apparently a tornado did touch down 3 miles from JFK. Crazy

Out on a taxiway at JFK airport. A storm rolled in and we are on a ground stop. Gonna be parked a while as the pilots shut down the engines and turned on the APU. Hopefully we get to take off after this long ground stop and we don’t return to the gate. (You should see the airport in these photos)

NYC subway advertising for a law firm. This is in the 28th street station by my office. Imagine the marketing meeting that came up with this. (And the graphic artists reaction when they were asked to make it) I am both awestruck and mystified.

So I fly a lot. And I fly mostly with an airline that was going through a labour disruption. Due to the changes in my flights I was sent a “meal voucher”, a $60 prepaid credit card. You get to use it for “one transaction” only. My meal was $32 and my server got a $28 tip. I used every penny.

So I am trying to get some clarity from "Shaw with Rogers" and I keep getting routed to the Philippines. (With Shaw we always spoke with someone in Canada) They are following a script and don't have the power to do anything. #shawsucks #rogerscable #Rogerssucks

010

DGC Roadguy @dgcroadguy.bsky.social · 06/07/2026

So since Rogers bought Shaw a while ago, they have increased the cost of our cable service twice. This is even though we have a contract and I was "guaranteed" that the price would not change for the term. The workaround is they increase the cost to "lease" the cable boxes. Rogers ruined Shaw Cable

So if Leo Carlsson goes to Philly, does Giroux follow? They have the cap space, and then some.. (Super dumb on behalf of ANA to say they would match any offer sheet lol). LOOK AT ALL MY CARDS! LOOK AT ALL MY CARDS!!!

So what is Florida going to do about a goalie? 5.8 Million left in cap space, only six D-men on the roster with Gudas needing a contract (or release to Free Agency) #timetohunt AND NO GOALIES: puckpedia.com/team/florida...

Turned on the TV in the background to watch the second day of the NHL draft while I puttered. My favourite part of the 2nd day was seeing “forfeit” next to VGK’s 63rd pick for a solid hour and a half. It certainly made Saturday chores just a little bit better.

Did EK65 say that if he could speak more Swedish on the bench he would consider returning on a sweetheart deal or something?!? (Asking for a friend).

DGC Roadguy @dgcroadguy.bsky.social · 27/06/2026

What?!? We drafted ANOTHER Swedish player?!? This keeps up and the Canadian players are going to have to learn Swedish to understand the bench banter! #gosensgo
