The choice of these stock photos and the badly edited in products are particularly hilarious to me. It's for an Axolotl Squishy
Two photos at slight angles.

The photograph on the left has a caption "Release stress" with a laughing white man in a suit grasping a badly photo edited axolotl squishy, his expression says "I'm quite unhinged".

The photo on the right has the caption "Vent anger", the photograph is of a smiling lady in a business suit. She is pulling a similar squishy apart and her face as the expression of "young child who has just seen their first magic trick"

Reporting these white things in the sky. They are all whispy and fluffy. I remember seeing something similar in olden times. Clods? Clowes? I can't remember their name

"I love sci-fi and fantasy" "Have you ever heard of John Scalzi?" "No" "Oh boy, you're in for a treat. I can't tell you what any of the books are about because it'll ruin them, just read these" The joy of being a @scalzi.com fan.

Good morning to everyone! Except the guy at the click and collect who thought it was ok to spend 15 minutes carefully putting his shopping into bags while a queue of customers built up, rather than shoving it into his car and then going off and parking to sort it out.

I'm walking in the woods in the middle of the day during an extreme heatwave and I'm amazed by the number of people in flip-flops without water or supplies. The heat will suddenly get you if you're not careful, I've been there a few times.

British people, don't forget: the nights are cooling down and people want to open their windows so make sure you burn loads of stuff in your gardens to fill the air with smoke and make it uncomfortable to keep the windows either open or shut. Love you guys, keep up the good work.

1. Playing music loudly on public transport. First offence: your device goes out of the window. Second offence: you go out of the window. 2. If you own a pickup truck and don't, in fact, pick anything up in it regularly then it gets donated to the army for target practice.

Funemployment is a test of mental fortitude. Every so often, after a pile of rejections, you have to spend a bit of time regenerating your self belief. Then onwards you go again into the land of applications.

I have more range anxiety with my ICE car than I had with my EV. The EV was always charged and ready to go. The ICE car needs me to factor in refueling and it's a filthy task.

And for a laugh but also to note that agricultural honeybees are not native to North America. Don’t get me wrong. I love honey and recognize the value of production pollination of crops by managed hives. But honeybees don’t need “saving.” #WorldBeeDay
A meme with a European Bee (honeybee) on the left and a bee on the right (probably a leafcutter bee given the fuzzy third legs) that says US BEE with a computer connection cable for its head meaning usb.

I'm really enjoying Project Zomboid by @theindiestone.bsky.social. It's my first Mac game that has really stuck with me. The game has so many layers of gameplay that you can really get lost in it.

I'm thinking of getting a bike to ride around the woodland and ride to the supermarket. The trouble is the drivers are so bad around here that I think it'd shorten my lifespan considerably. It's only about 2-3 miles and every time I drive to get shopping I am amazed I make it.

Time for tea. I feel like @histoftech.bsky.social would approve of the mug.
An old mug saying "I'd rather be surfing the net"

The old mug says "I'd rather be" across the top of the mug and "Surfing the Net" underneath. There is a wave being surfed by a two button mouse underneath the "Surfing the Net" text.

Never forget: 8 years ago a random person on Craigslist wrote the most effective ad for the Toyota Corolla, ever.
Images of an old silver 1999 Toyota Corolla for saleYou want a car that gets the job done? You want a car that's hassle free? You want a car that literally no one will ever compliment you on? Well look no further.
The 1999 Toyota Corolla.
Let's talk about features.
Bluetooth: nope
Sunroof: nope
Fancy wheels: nope
Rear view camera: nope...but it's got a transparent rear window and you have a fucking neck that can turn.
Let me tell you a story. One day my Corolla started making a strange sound. I didn't give a shit and ignored it. It went away. The End.
You could take the engine out of this car, drop it off the Golden Gate Bridge, fish it out of the water a thousand years later, put it in the trunk of the car, fill the gas tank up with Nutella, turn the key, and this puppy would fucking start right up.
This car will outlive you, it will outlive your children.
Things this car is old enough to do:
Vote: yesConsent to sex: yes
Rent a car: it IS a car
This car's got history. It's seen some shit. People have done straight things in this car. People have done gay things in this car. It's not going to judge you like a fucking Volkswagen would.
Interesting facts:
This car's exterior color is gray, but it's interior color is grey.
In the owner's manual, oil is listed as "optional."
When this car was unveiled at the 1998 Detroit Auto Show, it caused all 2,000 attendees to spontaneously yawn. The resulting abrupt change in air pressure inside the building caused a partial collapse of the roof. Four people died. The event is chronicled in the documentary "Bored to Death: The Story of the 1999 Toyota Corolla
You wanna know more? Great, I had my car fill out a Facebook survey.
Favorite food: spaghetti
Favorite tv show: Alf
Favorite band: tie between Bush and the Gin Blossoms
This car is as practical as a Roth IRA. It's as middle-of-the-When I ran the CarFax for this car, I got back a single piece of paper that said, "It's a Corolla, It's fine."
Let's face the facts, this car isn't going to win any beauty contests, but neither are you. Stop lying to yourself and stop lying to your wife. This isn't the car you want, it's the car you deserve: The fucking 1999 Toyota Corolla.

Test Drive Solar Crown is a fascinating exercise in how to take something really cool and make it boring as hell. The driving is quite good when you turn the assists off. The AI is terrible at racing and the player base is tiny so you have the world's easiest races.

Sobbing with laughter at the reviews with photos in this Hannibal Lecter mask for cats set primdog.co.uk/p/cat-...
There is a calico cat in the bath. On her head is a clear bubble of plastic that has cute little cat ears moulded to the top and little ventilation vents in the shape of a smile. She's got little blue plastic booties on her hands and feet. She looks decidedly unhappy with her lot in life, but seems to be patiently biding her time for when she can seek her revenge.

Really good decaf coffee beans are no different to caffeinated coffee beans. They go off really quickly because the process to decaffeinate them opens up the beans a bit. As soon as the bag is open (and you've made your first cup!) put the bag in the freezer and it keeps well for weeks.
