🦉 BIG update to vispubs.com!! 🚀 I pushed CHI, EuroVis, and VIS 2025 late last night. I'm especially excited by the many amazing research artifacts available for VIS this year. I'm always so inspired by the creativity, technical abilities, and academic rigor of our community.
Summary of new resources available on vispubs. 138 paper preprints, 1 video, 33 websites, 17 links to code, and 131 "other". These are across new papers in CHI (89), EuroVis (49), and VIS (131).

I'm excited to announce the release of our tool Color Buddy! It’s a vis color palette designer built on good color science (incl. spaces like LAB/OKLCH) AND it has modern favs like direct manip & AI fiddles. Spicier: it checks your palette (for a11y/design/etc issues) as you go!
A screenshot of our application for color palette editing. On the left side is a scatter plot with dots that can be dragged and dropped, on the right hand side are a collection of evaluation rules for that palette showing if the palette passed or failed those rules.

🚀 Big update to VisPubs ( and I'm not just talking about the new logo 🦉)! You can now filter visualization publications by year, venue, awards, and resources! Also, the URL has moved to vispubs.com, and I've added a dark mode for all you night owls 🦉.
User interface of vispubs showing different filters applied. As filters are applied the paper list and counts update dynamically. Papers are filtered to 2019 and earlier; InfoVis, SciVis, and VAST; Best Paper and Honorable Mention; and with an open source Paper linked, resulting in 12 papers out of the original thousands.

You can add alt texts to figures in #LaTeX with `alt={...}`. The alt texts won't necessarily appear in the generated PDF until new versions of LaTeX but let's start with this good practice now.

Happy holidays! As a 🎁 to all of you, I've added a new feature to www.vispubs.devinlange.com You can now export data! I plan to use this as a convenient way to start literature reviews.
Selecting an export button brings up options to export the selected paper metadata as an Excel, JSON, or CSV file. The JSON and CSV options also let you copy the data to the clipboard.
