Today it happened! I needed a very random cable, I went through my massive random cable box and I found one. Hold out everyone, keep all those old cables.

First off ‘From Russia with Love’ is not a good choice for a video game (not enough action). That alone doesn’t explain the issues. Even the controls and shooting are very bad, confusing when EoN was pretty good. Would love to know more about the development of this game and how this happened.

Lastly we have ‘From Russia with Love’. This is a shockingly terrible game. If you told me this game came out 3 years before ‘Everything or Nothing’ I would have believed you. Reality 1.5 years after. Every part is worse.

Definitely the second best bond game after Goldeneye. Also this cliff jumping sequence is pretty awesome and ahead of its time.

Devin Reimer @devinreimer.bsky.social · 26/05/2026

Next up, James Bond 007: Everything or Nothing This game is legit pretty good, starts off slow but builds over time. It’s aged pretty well and feels surprisingly like an Uncharted game at times.

It’s not terrible, it just feels like a game that could have been much better. On the plus side you get to fight the final boss in space.

007 Nightfire - On paper this should be a better game it’s newer, bigger, higher fidelity. It is not very good, it hates that you are playing, removes your control too often. I realized I never played this when I was younger so it was all new to me.

Devin Reimer @devinreimer.bsky.social · 24/03/2026

Agent Under Fire - Controls are usable this time. Definitely a better game than TWINE but not great. Driving is an enjoyable change and the game has its moments. This game trusts the player so little. Plot was a mess. Overall I enjoyed it as a throwback.

Now for the GameCube James Bond games. Playing them on Wii (all early Wiis had a GameCube inside). I’m using an Wii to HDMI adapter and a GameCube port Bluetooth adapter with custom firmware so I can wirelessly use a Switch 2 GameCube controller. Like was intended.

Next ‘The World Is Not Enough’ for N64. I had some fun (skiing is neat), but this game is rough. The controls are terrible. I’m so curious how this happen. Goldeneye had been released 2 years prior.

It’s a story about family and a group of mercenaries trying to get large dinosaurs blood as it contains the cure for cancer. Here is a picture of the DNA rifle that would shoot a syringe dart that would fill with blood and then release for retrieval. This is what I hoped Jurassic Park 3 would be.
