I was lucky enough to meet Tim recently and tell him that when I worked at Westwood Studios, the people who remembered him coming to film his part in Red Alert 2 had nothing but joy in talking about him. He liked that. At this event, he spent all night upstaging Leslie Ann Warren. A titan. RIP.

I have to congratulate @scalzi.com on the most meta trick anyone's ever played on me. I just found out about your short story from The Time Traveler's Passport and bought it minutes ago for Kindle only to receive this email immediately. Please affix time machine to aide in issue. ;)

No Star Wars. No Star Trek. Name a favorite sci-fi franchise. Farscape. Despite a shaky first episode, it starred a protagonist who openly admitted he knew the least but wanted to do the right thing, was filled with strong women, had a definitive opinion on arms races, and should've run longer.

So saw UNKLE last night and it was... fine? Not great, not bad, maybe just too clubby/EDM and not enough of the sort of the deep symphonic beds you get from them on albums. Glad I went, no need to go a second time.
