For child me, this was the coolest thing I had ever seen in my life, and it still kind of is. It's cool on its own but as an upgrade to classic Mega Man it was incredible to see.

There is exactly one thing I will give the GC face button layout and it's how easy it is to hit A in combination with B, X, or Y with a minimum of hand adjustment. Compare that to trying to press any combination except X/A or Y/B. (yes I know how tiny and insignificant this advantage is lol)

People out here complaining that Prime 4 isn't "open world" when every metroidvania throughout history has basically just been this, even the good ones they remember fondly.
