It pains me weirdly to see a huge apartment building and every dwelling has a closet with a mop, vacuum, bucket, dustpan, and garbage bags. As a student we did more sharing amongst each other. The thought “I don’t need to buy X but we seem to need Y” was interesting.

Interesting, could offer gameplay where your reward for a mission is “money” but there’s no place to spend it. Instead you’ll have a ton of currencies, including time. Did you consider what’d happen if you’ve got nothing to offer?

I’ve made some back end software for a company. Good people, and if I charged a fair hourly wage it would be prohibitively expensive. It’s sad but quality software still costs thousands of pounds and time, even for a “simple” pod backend. If you have limited capacity then customer service is cheaper

I'd love to buy comics from Humble Bundle but its so messy. Downloading all content takes forever and hundreds of mouse clicks, issue 3 of 6 is in a different file format, some are zipped, some have internal IDs as a name, some issues don't include the issue number. Takes a day to organize the files

Often adding ads to an app is using a plugin and devs offer space to an ad network. They still choose the network and it would be nice if we can bully the app dev into choosing a better network that regulates itself better.

I use an iPhone and iPad, and Apple is currently the only large company that I see as respecting user privacy. I’d love it if mature ads served by Unity, Meta or anyone else, could lead to the removal of the app. That’d be a huge hit to a company’s income.

Uninstall apps that resulted in unfortunate content on your screen. I got a bit sidetracked here, tracking and ads are a huge thorn to me for some time now. I’ve got a kid so I got to shield my fam. Web is getting worse, and governments are paid to make it worse.

Yes it’s wild, but that’s the web, any content can be published without permits or oversight. Borders don’t exist, all nations share a web. The web needs massive overhaul, unfortunately the last overhaul involves ID verification, “to protect kids”. Ad providers like Meta have lobbied this into…

Surely an off the shelves CLIP could accurately guess how “Mr beast” an ad is and propose ads for human review. We know Google doesn’t like spending money on temporary solutions (human supervision), so the easier way is to outsource it direct to the consumer.

Google does not approve or check ads before running. At best they scan it for nudity. The amount of obv scams and cartoonish sexuality is too insane if a human would be in the loop. I think if they could scan ad submissions more thoroughly they could catch a bunch, including imposter ads.

Sounds similar to a VRAM issue I had. I’ve never run a program but you could try installing a VRAM tester, reboot your computer and then run the program.

I’m afraid you’re in for a terrible surprise thinking audio works correctly out of the box on Linux 😅 I gave up on Bluetooth headphones, maybe the audio jack works I never tried. Speakers are fine, and I’m scared to touch anything now. Still move though, what’s keeping you? :)

Can confirm on iq's biplanar shader you get these cusps too. This is on a sphere so isolated to points instead of a line like your rotated capsule. Does triplanar look much better? Since this is probably a blurry spot for triplanar.

Mostly invisible progress, I thought it'd be great to emulate a design constraint and have the world molded out of 32x32px blocks, as old games had save space. I no longer paint the palette separately, colors are extracted from the tileset so palettes are cooked not hardcoded. #ScreenshotSaturday

Saw a statistic if an alert requires a response 10% of the time, people will ignore it 90% of the time. Errors grouped as “need action” and “just fyi” are more useful classifications. I can dig up the YT video if you want, it’s about human attention as a currency, and phone notifications.
