Ah - hah! Alright! Score - sounds good! ﹙ Grinning so wide, he clasped that undeveloped photo to his chest and peered upwards, a couple of his mechanical legs hooking onto the brick surface. ﹚ I'll be back tomorrow, show up! Y-y-you can check yourself to see if it's worked.

“ Oh! Stay safe, please.. ” Just as quickly as the visitor came and spoke did he leave. While he couldn't help the way his mind raced, trying to pin together thoughts and understanding on the strange soul, he could help how he paced his way over to the door. How he opened it. ›

A catch..? ﹙ Right. A catch. Like what he often did in making sure he could get his photographs. But he blinked slowly, his body whirring in a betrayal of his running thoughts. ﹚ I-I said at a discount. I just want some canned food. S-sssomething I can bring back.

“ O-oh. Okay. ” A sincerely disappointed posture accompanied a menagerie of machinery clicking, eyes glancing down - only to be forced back up by the introduction of a weapon. He seemed to wince briefly. At least before looking behind himself. “ Maybe.. I'm bad at fighting. ” ›

“ I-I wish .. I feel like serial killers do better in this kind of situation ... if I try to get into my own bedroom, I get attacked by a guy I tried to bandage up earlier, ” Lyle admitted in a frustrated grumble, though his cheeks reddened some from embarrassment. “ But, ah - wait! ” ›

That question caught his attention, head turning towards his guest in surprise. A brief flicker of color touched the monochrome entity's face from a flattered confusion. “ You're worried? W-well, yeah I'll be okay.. I don't think I can get worse. Sorry, just shy, ” he hurriedly stated. ›

“ It's .. instant - ohhhh.. ” he rumbled loosely, as if the mechanisms taking up his body were trying to settle into a comfortable place. Lyle had hardly been listening, paying more attention to the box he was holding and the picture extended out. He didn't seem to react much, however. ›

﹙ Lyle winced heavily, looking down at the photograph, then back up. Might as well be honest.. Loose whirring accompanied his approach. ﹚ M-my camera's special. If you .. develop that photo, it'll make sure they never bother you again. Permanently. Isn't that cool? I t-think so.

“ External influence.. I think it's called? My neighbor across the hall has a similar thing. ” Maybe. She refused to show him. But he leaned in closer, attention and bravery peaked with a simple box. “ I- I don't do blackmail, too weird, but I do candids, and .. this is an antique! ” ›

“ You kind of sound like a friend of mine.. I think you two would probably get along, ” he mumbled. Referring to his friend Edwin, anyways. Quite the odd man. Lyle couldn't help but wonder how he's doing as he pulled out a leftover, cold chicken sandwich. “ But .. huh? ” ›

“ Sure - and uh .. no, no it's just whoever looks out there. I uh.. Well, I tried to take a photo of it. I'm - I'm a photographer. ” Stammering out as he made his way to the cabinets, his numerous legs tapped across the floor, so unafraid to put his back to them. “ A-allergies —? ”

Ｌʏʟᴇ @developingfilm.bsky.social · 07/07/2025

A neighbor .. another one that looked tainted already. His eyes remained wide from behind the folds of his cover, not blinking once, trying to analyze him. Another one who might end up in the side rooms for his own safety. “ I'm Lyle. You're .. A-are you hurt? Hungry? ” Click-click.

Ｌʏʟᴇ @developingfilm.bsky.social · 06/07/2025

H-huh? I didn't! I just took a picture. ﹙ Sincerely surprised, his mouth fell open briefly as he took that photo back. Sharp teeth, too. ﹚ If you can get a dark room of your own, maybe it could get done sooner-?

“ H-hello - uh .. hold on! I was - working on something —— ” Clicking, repeated and in different tones, came out in waves from behind that doorway as he closed it briefly. The tip-tapping of an unknown amount of legs didn't help as he finally cracked his door again. “ Come in, please! ”

What met those noises was panic. Sheer, real panic. The kind of startling fear that only came to those with a real reason to stay hidden. All the same .. it couldn't be another monster, right? A worse one. So he put his face to his door, cracking it, staring out to see who's waiting.

Ｌʏʟᴇ @developingfilm.bsky.social · 06/07/2025

﹙ As he blinked, the low whirring of mechanisms accompanied him registering the endeavor worked. Wow, people here were gullible .. at least enough to earn food. ﹚ I do, but it'd take me a day to develop, and you'd have to come back here.. If you want to do that, I could at a discount-?

Ｌʏʟᴇ @developingfilm.bsky.social · 06/07/2025

ooc. Thank you-?? my god, awh,,,

Ｌʏʟᴇ @developingfilm.bsky.social · 05/07/2025

Proton .. O-okay. Serious, I guess.. ﹙ Lyle stepped closer, somewhat more comfortable - enough to lean over and look over his arms at the picture, as if he hadn't just been staring at it. ﹚ You need developing fluid and a dark room. Don't let it get hit by too much light until then.

010

Ｌʏʟᴇ @developingfilm.bsky.social · 04/07/2025

﹙ That picture would also need developing fluid, a dark room, along with careful procedure. He was betting on being needed for more. Not to mention he knew his .. talent would kick in upon its clarity. ﹚ A minute before I sss-said something. What's your name, by the way?

010

Ｌʏʟᴇ @developingfilm.bsky.social · 03/07/2025

Too bad, about the offense.. ﹙ An arm reached out from the depths, taking his time to ruffle through the containers. Satisfied, he pulled it into his curtain to be suspended.. somehow, soon extending out the polaroid. ﹚ It still needs developed. If you do, the problem's.. fixed.

Ｌʏʟᴇ @developingfilm.bsky.social · 02/07/2025

﹙ Said legs, scattered on the ground and looking more reminiscent of a Durant's many appendages, immediately pulled back in as he reared in surprise. .. that really was two whole normal meals. He blinked, looking it over. ﹚ I-I want ⋯ t-to check the bag, first. No offense.

Ｌʏʟᴇ @developingfilm.bsky.social · 01/07/2025

“ That you got mutated badly. D-does it hurt? ” Says the one halfway hidden, still. “ That's a dumb question. O-obviously it d-ddoes. ”

O-oh. I guess I .. and you're already going. Nnn-not like I have anything else to do... ﹙ Laced with sarcasm, he did take a moment to sit down with an extended Polaroid lens pointed towards where the teal-dusted stranger went. .. only to flatten himself to rest at least some eyes. ﹚

Ｌʏʟᴇ @developingfilm.bsky.social · 30/06/2025

I-I'll give the picture .. once you bring me the meals. I have to bring it back with mm-me. ﹙ He pulled it back under that massive cloth draped over his body, now visibly enveloping something much more the size of a medium Bouffalant than a guy. ﹚ You look very nice f-for being out here.

Ｌʏʟᴇ @developingfilm.bsky.social · 29/06/2025

﹙ One glance traveled behind himself, one forwards - only for the strange individual to shift just somewhat closer. Enough to gradually hold out a polaroid up at him, out of arm's reach, barely clear. ﹚ I-I .. sssaw you were being followed. If you h-help me, I got a picture.

Ｌʏʟᴇ @developingfilm.bsky.social · 29/06/2025

Food, o-or drinks. ﹙ A quick, hasty response. He put his hands up soon after, odd indents along his forearms visible, as if they were compressed. ﹚ I-I'm a photographer, but you don't seem like the type to agree t-to a picture.. So I won't ask.

010

Ｌʏʟᴇ @developingfilm.bsky.social · 29/06/2025

W-well, it's — ﹙ Staying tucked into the shaded part of their shared alleyway, he glanced around.. only to turn back to the oddly normal individual with a grimace of his own. ﹚ My skin is very .. fr-fragile. Very. D-do you need help? I didn't expect to ⋯ find .. a-anyone, really.
