The last thing I'm gonna say about the Clancy case, screenshot and posted with alt text because it's a lot of shit to break up into a couple hunnit characters at a time.

It was, flat out, a BAD fucking case.

The forensic work was objectively shitty, the main witness was objectively sketchy and inconsistent, the police had a VERY strange relationship with him throughout, the evidence was flat out shit, the prosecution DID NOT do a good job at proving their case beyond VERY reasonable doubt, 11 people saw all that and were ready to go home, and turns out, the lone holdout just plain flat out hates women and has the history of violence to prove it.

Y'all just wanted that woman to die.

And y'all wanted her to die not because of morality or justice but for very basic and primal reasons, mainly do to the fact that we see everything falling apart. And, historically, what do we do when things fall apart?

We turn to human sacrifice and witch hunts.
