My first go at making Ambade or Indian hog plum curry. I salted the peeled plums and left them for half an hour. Heated up oil and added mustard seeds and curry leaves. Added the ambade and water and simmered it for 10 minutes. Adding a masala paste of coconut, green chilli and turmeric.

I get no commission, but these Aldi dumplings were delicious and took less than fifteen minutes. I made an easy dipping sauce with 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or Chinese black vinegar), ½ tsp sugar, ½ tsp sesame oil, and 1 tsp chili oil and voila!

In a morally decent country, Daphy Michel would have received clinically appropriate support instead of being jailed for 6 months for yelling at imaginary people while in crisis. Had that happened, she may have never been taken into ICE custody. Abolishing ICE is necessary. It is not sufficient.
