The Odyssey is amazing! I loved the score, the scenery, the attention to detail in the sets and the costumes. The acting was great. And the story was well done!

I had so much fun working on this perspective piece with Annabelle, Emily, David and John! I am looking forward to incorporating the things we learned into ongoing and future research efforts

I am grateful I had Jim as a professor for my first semester at UGA. He was retired but still co-taught a population genetics course. It was his final semester before turning it over to others, but we stayed in touch and chatted frequently after that class.

I'm rarely on Bluesky so maybe I've missed this shared before. But I stumbled upon a fun, daily game called Metaflora (and it's partner Metazooa). You guess the mystery plant or animal by navigating through the tree of life. I figured folks here would enjoy it! flora.metazooa.com

I was excited to travel without having to take my shoes off but apparently I was randomly selected to take them off. So I was the only person in the security line with my shoes off, looking like a weirdo in TSA.

Even common plants with broad-scale distributions are going to feel the effects of climate change. We modeled plant responses using species distribution modeling and demographic surveys to find that B. stricta is at risk of decline. @science.org www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

Yay! Our paper is out! We evaluated the effects of elevated CO2 and temperature on ecophys and fitness in Boechera stricta. We found increased CO2 augmented gas exchange but this didn't translate to a fitness increase. We also saw a shift in fitness landscapes! doi.org/10.1111/nph....
