A huge stretch of Milwaukee Ave in Chicago is closed to cars today, only open for pedestrians and bikes. Its a beautiful day here in Chicago, & I bet many of these store owners will have record sales days, but won’t put two + two together and understand why. Cities are for people, not cars.

Went back and counted my gym #stats on the LA Fitness app. 82 times st the gym since this skeet. Most sustained weight lifting I’ve done since college. Number on the scale hasn’t gone down that much, but the inches on my waist have if my much looser work pants are evidence. Feels good. 💪

Just walked in the door. 88.3 miles round trip over the past 32ish hours. Indiana has a really awesome trail system and nice gentle low traffic roads that follow the coast. Michigan does very well here too. Excellent trip, can’t wait to do this again next year. Warren Dunes is a great spot.

Bikepacking trip this Saturday. First one of these for me after I had to miss some friends doing it last year. Taking the train with bikes loaded up with our gear to the Indiana Dunes, then biking about 35ish miles to a campground in Warren Dunes State Park in SW Michigan. Weather looks ok so far.

Shoe Fest really punches above its weight with its lineup for how small of a festival it is. And you can see every band in the lineup, no overlaps, and there’s always a 15 a min gap between bands to regroup. Also it being 75 minutes from home is huge. No multiple hour drive home after packing up.

First music festival in over two years this weekend, Shoe Fest. Last festival was Mondegreen which left a bad taste in my mouth for many reasons. Shoe Fest is always a good time, so I don’t have any worries except for some possible storms on Friday.
