Lovely afternoon for a walk at RSPB The Lodge. The heather's still going strong, heard more birds than we saw but got a nice view of a hobby in flight.

A few days under North Norfolk's big skies was good for the soul. Also good for birdwatching, curlews, skeins of geese, oystercatchers piping, snipe, avocets... you get the idea.
Beach from top of sand dunes, water channels curving out to sea under blue sky with clouds.Same beach at sunset.

Lovely chilled weekend visiting the gardens at Rousham and putting my feet up with a book*. This week looks like being writing focused with a couple of pieces at the final edits and proofreading stage, and one at the exciting early research stage.

Lovely day at Rousham yesterday as a wedding anniversary treat. Took a picnic and enjoyed a potter round the gardens and church. Beautiful weather and very peaceful.

Good (if soggy!) day trip to @greenbeltfestival.bsky.social yesterday. Tea, cake, prayer, activism, poetry and old friends. We may also have succumbed to temptation in G-books...

I think someone needs to explain to @bsky.app how election reporting law works in the UK because this isn't it.
Bluesky list trending claiming that Farage has won the Clacton byelection when the polls are still open and the result won't be known until much later.

After days watching Suffolk burn via the news it did me good to get out and watch some birds for a bit, the air ringing with the peewit call of lapwings, sand martins skitting across the water, tufted ducks and coots swimming, and elegant egrets and cormorants resting on the scrapes. #NatureWriting

This is one of my biggest AI bugbears - the offer to bypass proper reading and understanding of documents to save time. Who knows what interesting nuggets would get lost in the summary process.
This appears to be a long document. Save time by reading a summary using AI.

You can also find a friends only (plus ads 😬) feed on Facebook but it's unnecessarily well hidden and again you need to pick it every time.

This is your semi regular reminder that you can choose a non-algorithmic, chronological following feed on Insta. You need to choose it every time but it is there. Picking favourites is another way of getting a curated focused feed.
