I do want to note that I wish the CG effects weren’t so heavy in the sequel. The original used more practical effects. One of my favorites in the original is Tippett Studios stop motion of Angelov’s boots sinking into the earth. It looks so good. Overall, I had fun and it made me cry. Love. 🖤✨

But I like the heavier epicness that Greyson-Williams adds to the score, since the sequel is far more busy, darker, and fantasy steeped than the original. 🫶🏼

This isn’t meant to sound disrespectful, it’s certainly not meant as a negative, but the sequel’s track “Our Story” gave me The Sims 3 vibes. (I love The Sims in general, okay!) I missed the light mystical feel from the original score (Practical Magic and Amas Veritas).

I also want to mention the first movie had a great soundtrack scored by Alan Silvestri. The score and soundtrack for the sequel is good. I like certain sound choices. Landslide, Howl, and Dancing in the Moonlight are probably the stand outs for me.

I watched #PracticalMagic2 yesterday. Immensely different from the first movie, but I feel this one followed the book a little more. I enjoyed it. (It’s not for everyone though.) I will probably rewatch at some point. Bullock, Kidman, Weist, and Channing are BEAUTIFUL and STELLAR. ✨

Just because you have a history of violence against your loved ones and your PR team scrubbed it from the internet does not mean you can’t be a genuinely good person today and going forward. Focus on what you can control (improving yourself). Everything and everyone else is just noise! 🍴

Don’t fall into old patterns, now. Push forward to excellence, not backward to frustration. I believe in you. ☺️
