Adventures in toddler painting continue. Got a cheap set of acrylic droppers so I don't use good stuff. He's definitely starting to put some thought and attention to what he's putting paint on. Probably get some larger and sinpler plastic or wood to paint and play with soon. #warhammercommunity

3.5 year old with an old brush dipping into acrylic paints to put color on a stormcast liberator. Cardboard to keep the table safe.

The cheaper acrylics weren't thinned much but did a good job of sticking to the primer and only obscured a bit of detail.

Mid year hobby check-in, on track to decrease backlog. A lot of the building and painting is for a friend's Zerg, but my throughput is still positive. 80% of played games are Spearhead, with first 40k matches next week. Need to finish ~12 Stormcast models for 2k AoS and the new tome

Fukuzatsu (by @neonrot.bsky.social ) was a fantastic evening of destroying our decks and negotiations over trading Tarot modifications. My wife set the mood with Fool into World turn 1. Highly encouraged for a Balatro inspired twist of poker. Print reference sheets to help with the learning curve.

Archon's Starcraft Miniatures beta using Carbot paper proxies and figurines on our finest terrain and mat. I jailed him with Roaches and the dice were never in his favor. Was fun and we'll keep testing it! #starcraft #miniatures

Turn 1 infiltrated roaches to seize his control point while Kerrigan rushes the other.

Kerrigan rushes the middle briefly before charging the marines to the north.

One heroic roach blocked his marine blob from ever taking the point, and ate so much shooting. My heavy push to the north stalled out his other attempt to hold the middle, with too slow marauders to make an impact

Happy I stayed in. Last painted/built for the year. The one two punch of Victrix Napoleonic and Darkwater sunk my backlog, but 4 months of job hunting and a new baby were the biggest impact on my hobby. I played 22 games, majority were Spearhead and Trench Crusade. I attended one narrative event

Another hobby time experiment with the toddler. He got pretty good at the water > color > paper order (kept doing water > color > water). I cleaned up a few bits for a rhino. Wider container for water to reduce mess. Still have to stop him from sticking the brush tips in his mouth.

Toddler painting experiment was successful! Disposable watercolors for him, some basecoats for me. Didn't stick with it for long, but he wasn't stealing my brushes or paint pots.

Two games of Burrows & Badgers today! We were both learning (1e) but got a couple others interested in the system. A win in game one, and a hilarious sling shot into melee, critting my own leader in the back of the head (lost game two) #burrowsandbadgers

Hosted a friend for his second game in our group's crusade. Knights of Avarice versus Naval Raiders. I won after a lot of back and fourth, though noo elites were hunted per mission title. #trenchcrusade
