“He needs a thicker skin to sail with us.”
“Yeah, I know. I figured Wildlanders were hardy things. I guess he breaks the rule.”
“Sheeran still ain’t convinced he is one,” Teersa replied with a shrug.
“Well that pledge tattoo ain’t fake. Ink would’ve run by now,” Avaas thought aloud as he grabbed his coat and pulled it on.
“Wildlanders sometimes take in City people,” Teersa reminded him. “They gotta do something impressive for them, the way we hear it.”
“Yeah. I’m sure Goldfinch is some great hero to the Wildlanders and Blackbloods, just as much as I believe that we’ll have flying ships one day.”
