I only used "cousins" once in the whole manuscript (so far)! #WIPSnips #WriteSky

As ruefully as he could, Ahvram grabbed the outstretched palm. As he did, Avaas hissed and ripped his hand away.
“The fuck—”
A roar that might have been a curse in the Crimon tongue caught both their attentions.
He and Avaas turned to see the leader of the kidnappers, the one with the most tattoos and crooked jaw, rush towards them with a curved short sword. Ahvram scrambled to his feet but was slow. Avaas grabbed him by the shoulder and jerked him aside. The not-Blackblood halted, as if he had been caught mid-thought, and barely had time to get his blade up to block the leader’s attack. The not-Blackblood twisted away from the big slaver, who growled again in his mother-tongue before speaking.
“I have no fight fight with wild goats, I need that,” and he nodded towards Ahvram, “for my mistress. Maybe be smart like cousins and let us take what we need. Then I don’t kill you all, at least not today.”
Avaas looked about ready to tear the man to shreds, but then the red-head produced an apple-sized device in his other palm. It crackled with chaotic magic that made Ahvram’s hair stand on end. Avaas’s eyes flashed with recognition and worry.
“Ya’d fuckin’ kill everyone for that guy?!” Snapped Avaas.
“I do not fail my mistress. Either she gets the boy, or he dies.”

This is Ru. Ru wants to enjoy their life in the circus and simply be happy with their found family. Ru will not get that. Ru will be faced with a horror afflicting their circus family. After, Ru will want nothing but their revenge. #weeknightwriters

#wolqotd Rekha Yo'lyf is the current Warrior of Light when the mantle passed from her father to her. She's flirty, grace, and she'll kick you in the face. Friendly and sweet, she's a stark difference from her stoic predecessor. But, when her mean streak hits, it's clear she's Faulks's daughter.

I mean, that is also very true. And yes! My idea was Rekha has always been excitable and creative, so it lends well to her class choices 💕

Rekha is naturally very creative! She has always been a dancer and she's also great at drawing and painting. Anything that keeps her imagination going she's always been skilled with. #wolqotd #wolquestion #rekhayo'lyf

"Well" is a word I've used so much in this one that it was hard to pick one! #WriteSky #WritingPrompts

“Ain’t seen Goldfinch since last night,” she answered carefully.
“What, he ain’t in the hold keeping vigil on his pureblood buddy?” Avaas frowned, picking at the edge of his sleeve—another tear had appeared, meaning he’d have some mending to do.
“No. Didn’t see him in there. He wasn’t in the engine room, and he didn’t show at the galley for first meal.”
The Captain rolled his eyes. “Probably still sore that I snapped at him.”
“He needs a thicker skin to sail with us.”
“Yeah, I know. I figured Wildlanders were hardy things. I guess he breaks the rule.”
“Sheeran still ain’t convinced he is one,” Teersa replied with a shrug.
“Well that pledge tattoo ain’t fake. Ink would’ve run by now,” Avaas thought aloud as he grabbed his coat and pulled it on.
“Wildlanders sometimes take in City people,” Teersa reminded him. “They gotta do something impressive for them, the way we hear it.”
“Yeah. I’m sure Goldfinch is some great hero to the Wildlanders and Blackbloods, just as much as I believe that we’ll have flying ships one day.”

What video game changed your life? Child of Light was the first game that had a huge emotional impact on me. It was the first time a game made me feel, cry, and love an entire story. Dragon Age 2 showed me that even a flawed game is gorgeous. The friends I made from that game shaped me.

Rekha is a DNC main! Her other jobs are PLD, GNB, RDM, SGE, RPR, VPR, and PCT. Since she was first trained in dance, she brings flexibility, speed, and tempo to all other jobs. She can twist around her enemies while attacking and dart around the field. My girl is a beautiful monster in battle 💕
