In the 2000s, when I started out in web design, I would often make sites for artists in exchange for art. This original painting by Matt Sewell was the first one, created just for me and remains a firm favourite.

Loved seeing Gary Larson / The Far Side stuff on the timeline. This remains my all time favourite:

A man dressed as a scientist wears machinery on his head, standing on a street with dogs barking around him, speech bubbles coming from the dogs all say 'Hey! Hey! Hey!' Caption reads: Donning his new canine decoder, Professor
Schwartzman becomes the first human being on
Earth to hear what barking dogs are actually saying.

Some of my favourite work is being given a poster and asked to make a web version of it (continued). This one is for Kybba's album tour. Again, built around the core HTML of an h1 tag, all 'real' text and a list with links. Poster first, website second: → kybba.world

Some of my favourite work is being given a poster and asked to make a web version of it, thinking through the meaningful HTML to use & what cool CSS can help with the layout for all screen sizes. Here's a recent one for Notion's world tour, the images show the poster and the site: → notiondj.world

At Carew Castle, you will find the shortest yet most horrific ghost story (cc @slipperyjack.bsky.social)

A sign that reads: THE GHOSTLY APE

The battlements above the North West Tower are said to be haunted by a ghostly ape, which murdered its master, bad-tempered Sir Roland Rhys, one of Carew's most eccentric tenants.

Close your eyes and imagine the wind whistling around the Castle and through it comes the sound of a whimpering ape!
