Each night I used to pick a random kindle unlimited book that I didn't plan to read. I would open it in the kindle software. I'd use the read to me feature to read the book overnight to the empty air so an author could make some money. I haven't done it lately but I think I should start again.

I always am flummoxed at the question, “Do you drink alcohol?” on forms at the doc bc they ask how many drinks daily. I mean, I drink but only on special occasions. I feel like I’m letting them down when I admit my drinking is my mom’s sangria on holidays or a glass of wine maybe twice a year.

I only have cream soda when I visit Mom and Dad. I love it but I never buy it. I have no idea why - they sell it near me.

Fun times at the prosthetist today - the company sent the wrong size foot (3 sizes too big) so I tested on a loaner that’s two sizes too big. Also they sent the wrong liner. At least we managed to get a video visit with my doc to work out the wording for the new prescription so insurance will pay.

Two prosthetic feet - one in a shoe is significantly bigger than the one in a sock. 3 sizes in fact.

I lost my foot yrs ago. Insurance used to make me see my dr annually to get a prescription/letter that I am not a starfish and give me a prosthetic/supplies. Now ins rules changed and I have to get this done every 6 months. Can someone just make me a starfish? I think that would be less annoying.

Can someone please explain how detailed to make alt text? Ex if I post a photo and put in the alt text “White retriever dog doing xyz,” is that good? Do the people who need alt text know what a retriever looks like? Should I describe a dog? I want to do enough but I don’t want to be patronizing.

The GC knows the way to my heart. I've been down about some health stuff and he's made me grilled cheese sandwiches twice in the last week. Plus he made patty melts over the weekend and those are basically grilled cheese sandwiches with beef and caramelized onions. This, to me, is true love.

I’m supposed to take a pill at 2pm and I can’t remember it. Decided to purchase a bright colored pill case to help me remember. Apparently I didn’t read the description when I bought because it’s huge. Now I will remember because this takes up so much space on my desk! Reg pill case for scale:

My partner says I have too many totes since we recently filled a huge bin with “extra totes” that I wouldn’t throw out. Now I send him photos of totes I see at stores or online just to mess with him.

I get so nervous trying to describe my photos by text. My anxiety creeps up and says, “That’s a terrible description. It doesn’t tell anyone anything.” It’s why I like Bluesky - I’m encouraged to give it a try when I post a photo. Here is some practice. Maybe it’ll get easier some day.

Our old inflatable Uncle Sam died from “no more room to patch” disease so we replaced him. My BIL couldn’t make it so we left Dino Sam in her room so she wouldn’t be lonely. Now people keep stopping in our front yard to take photos with the unicorn.
