View from the office window. Not bad for the end of September.

Shot of potted plant, sash windows, and view on to gardens at the back of the office

It could have been so much worse ...

4 Crumpets made with Belgian dark chocolate, fat reduced cocoa powder, durum wheat flour and sourdough culture. An abomination, if there ever was one.

Olivetti teletypewriter TC485 - had a reperforator and reader for punching and reading eight-channel tapes. The auxiliary keyboard block to the right of the main keyboard controls an associated electronic pack intended to cover various systems coupling requirements.

Architect must have worked for a men's grooming product company at some point?

Hair trimmer with large guide, that looks remarkably like the entrance to the proposed Stephens' Green centre.

I am this old ... first use of a computer, playing lunar lander on a teletype #Old #Computing #AccousticCoupler

A pic of an acoustic coupler. An interface device for coupling electrical signals by acoustical means—usually into and out of a telephone. Used be me to connect my college olivetti teletype to a remote ICL 1900 series, to play lundar lander.

Just asked chaptgpt to create a map of wales with all counties identified. Nice to see that it thinks of south wales as large chunks of devon and cornwall. #Wales #Cymru #Map #AIFail

So we have the normal ones here with some great differences. Wrexham has vanished, as has Denbighsire, Pembroke, Camarthen, most of the valleys local govt units and the Vale of Glamorgan, Cardiff and Monthouth (re) have taken over Cornwall, Devon and large chunks of Bristol.

Oh my god. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo. #Anxiety Look at the left screen and the number of open tabs in Chrome; at least 40? Then look at the right screen. I bet the recycle bin is still full. Then there's the spelling mistakes in the news banner. I need a lie down.

Image from RTE (Irish) news showing a man sitting in front of 2 computer screens. The left has chrome with at least 40 tabs open, and the right has a screen full of icons and shortcuts. The news banner has a spelling mistake as well. "Universtity" rather than University. And it should be Technological rather than Technology.
