The next day when I got on the bus, there were younger kids talking about it. In one of the days after, we had to wear red white and blue, had a moment of silence, and had to remain standing after the pledge of allegiance for the national anthem. One day we had to say the pledge across America.

We were told to be careful with younger kids that the news might trigger them. It was inevitable that kids were going to see the news about it, because almost every channel was airing it all day. Kids WB and Fox Kids were preempted because of coverage of it.

When 9/11 happened, I was in school. I was in 5th grade at the time. The teacher told us about it in school. It cancelled all field trips that school year (in place of that, the field trips were brought to the school). Field trips returned the next year.

You can be over 40 IRL and be a VTuber. This shouldn't surprise anyone. Streaming and content creation does not have an expiration date or an upper age limit. That's the point. We get to express ourselves and be who we are, make friends, and have fun. Never lose your whimsy.

I've seen this too much these couple days. Do not, and I mean DO NOT, go to someone's stream to announce that a celebrity has passed away. Streamers are human too, and their stream should not be the place they get informed about someone's death. It may put them in a state of grief, hysteria, panic..

I'd argue that, for the metrics, it's vastly MORE important that viewers turn this off. There's more viewers than streamers, so even if every streamer turned this off, if viewers don't, the executives can still claim that "most users don't care" and cram it down our throats even harder. Opt out.

I hate to say it, but if Mixer was still around, they'd likely be as big into AI as Twitch and YouTube are. Mixer was owned by Microsoft, who's really pushing AI as much as Amazon and Google are.

I've seen 4 of these tags so far (in order of how much I've seen them: NoGenAI, AIOptedOut, AIOptOut, NoAITraining.) I highly recommend getting with your close streamer circles and find one that works for you, and try and collab as much as you can on them to prevent needing like 4+ tags for this.

Disable this on ALL your accounts. Your main, your secondary, your chat bot account, that account you made because you didn't want anyone taking your name, all of them. Even if you don't stream. Setting is on the Security and Privacy page. If on mobile use desktop mode on browser.

A setting on Twitch's Security and Privacy page to allow training for generative AI. The description says "Allow your channel content to train generative AI content models at Amazon. We all agree children need to be protected from exposure to obscenity and predators. The problem comes in the definition of what "obscenity" and a "predator" is. They think it's anyone pro-LGBTQIA+. They want to "protect" children from exposure TO US. They want to classify our lives as "obscene".
