iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Right? Like, I AM that petty. My therapist choke-snorted when discussing healing inspirations but couldn’t argue. And thank you - I’m not on SM much (protecting that peace) but do occasionally scroll to see what’s up with friends. 💙

Every nutritionist advised blending them with ice cream into a shake. The viscosity was awful! Instead I discovered mixing them with crushed ice and a comparable flavored seltzer water made an ice cream soda consistency I could tolerate. Literally saved me from a feeding tube. Pass it on!

Unsolicited cancer advice is annoying (and usually involves dodgy supplements) but this tip is nutrition-based so I’m throwing it out to the universe in case it can help someone else. When my weight became a critical issue I was prescribed supplemental nutrition drinks. I couldn’t stand them

The TIL that number three is a common goal. It’s been on my goal list since day one! Also, being told to eat more when you have no appetite and food tastes like literal mulch…This list is so accurate. Hang in there peeps, it’s better than the alternative.

No deep thoughts, vibes only, half-time show review - that felt like a warm hug. ❤️

Narrow your gaze to what's in front of you, not the whole world and all its grief. Focus on one small thing at a time that you actually can influence.

Facebook is so problematic but it felt like the best place to reach the broadest spectrum of people in my life. Since I’ve basically been MIA for the past year - a health update. www.facebook.com/share/p/1BYW...

This is the most Liz Topic Ever and she excels! I can’t count how many times we wandered into this territory on @veritypodcast.bsky.social and it was always smart and entertaining. How could a whole book be anything less than amazing?

Congratulations, darling! I’ve never seen a more Liz topic than this one. I’m sure it’s FABULOUS!

So much fun recording my first podcast in over a year! (I’d say it was like riding a bike but I had to ask @legopolis.bsky.social how to actually *record* the thing. Cancer Brain is real, yo). Anyway, if you like silly games and a silly villain check it out. www.theincomparable.com/gameshow/261/

I was reading this in HB but ended up buying the digital version as well just so I could quickly access the footnotes. There’s unwritten novels living in the footnotes!

I struggle with carbonation these days so why, with the wisdom of all my years, did I order a coke - from McDONALD’s? Sweet Jesus. The price for that sweet hit was too high.

Thank you, Jeff. Have a fantastic Gally!

Deb Stanish @debstanish.bsky.social · 12/02/2025

I’ll miss seeing you as well! And thank you. It’s been rocky but keeping a positive outlook.

Deb Stanish @debstanish.bsky.social · 12/02/2025

But while my own world is very limited right now and the rest of the world is a bit grim it makes me incredibly happy that there is this one bright spot so many of you will be able to take respite in for just a little while. Have a fabulous time #gally1

I should be heading to the airport, on my way to @gallifreyone.bsky.social and some of my favorite people in the whole world. Unfortunately, this year cancer made other plans. I’ll miss connecting with friends, @veritypodcast.bsky.social listeners and basking in the shared joy that is #gally1

Of course! As a long time Miss Marple fan I’d like to check out her TV adaptations. Great suggestions!

Long time GBBO fan and yes, that is exactly the vibe I want.

Thank you. ❤️ I tried Abbott in S1 and was a bit meh but it looks like it has hit it stride. Have to give it another go.

Thank you! I may give it a peek. (And Happy Birthday! 🎊 ❤️)

I knew you would come through, Amanda - thank you! I need to find some fannish discourse on All Creatures because I have THOUGHTS.

I may have imprinted too hard on the 2020 All Creatures to watch the OG. I might need some distance. Ghosts, though, could hit the spot!

Thank you. And the show looks wonderful. Thank you for the rec.

Thank you - I appreciate that.

Silly and cozy is just what I need - lots of tea drinking is a bonus. Thanks!

I watched it ages ago but it may be time for a rewatch!

On indefinite leave from work as I prepare for Significant Surgery. Finally combing through my “low stress, low risk” media list. First up “All Creatures Great and Small”. So charming! Anne of Green Gables is next in the queue. (Did I mention low stress?). Have any low stress media recs? LMK!

I tried resurrecting it several time and bad things kept happening. I think it was the harbinger of doom.

There is too much bad juju in this thing so I finally just threw it away. In the trash. I don’t even want to pass this cursed object on. I’m feeling a little guilty as it was an expensive purchase but I feel so much better having it out of my life. I think there is a life lesson here.

To any fellow knitters/fibercraft folk - have you ever had a project that was just too infused with sadness to finish? I had a yarn that was bought during a not-great holiday, started knitting as stress relief during a Bad Time, set aside then picked up again a week before the election. 1/2

Get out while you still can Sarah!

Which is just so stupid - both franchises have such a similar trajectory! Their loss. *hiss*
