In Chinese mythology, the Kun (鯤) is a colossal fish dwelling in the northern sea, first recorded in Zhuangzi. When it transforms, it becomes the Peng (鵬), a bird so vast its back spans thousands of miles. In flight, its wings darken the heavens like suspended clouds. 1/2 🎨 RLoN

Yes… imagine that…
"I sometimes fear that people think that fascism arrives in the fancy dress worn by grotesques and monsters as played out in endless re-runs of the Nazis.
But fascism arrives as your friend.
It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up your neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you....
It doesn't walk in saying, 'Our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war, and persecution?
In my work with the defendants (at the Nuremberg Trials 1945-1949), I was searching for the nature of evil, and I now think I have come close to defining it.
A lack of empathy.
It's the one characteristic that connects all the defendants, a genuine incapacity to feel with their fellow men.
Evil, I think, is the absence of empathy."
Quote: Captain G.M.Gilbert, the army psychologist assigned to watching the defendants at the Nuremberg Trials.

Ironically, most penguins aren't aware that today is Penguin Awareness Day and they think it's just a regular Monday. The reason for this, of course is that they refused to adopt the new Gregorian calendar in 1582, and still adhere to the old Julian one, for tax purposes.
