My warlock likes to casually gesture at monsters

Aha! This is the one I was thinking about. It looks like one one of the three mags is a pancake one.

I thought that I would print out Big Mr Tong's wheel conversion for the old rhino. Since they're so hard to track down, he also included a reworking of the main body. He doesn't sell the whole thing but I think he did a production run of the wheels. All on his patreon.

I've always left them an offerings. My gf says she doesn't mind me giving flowers to other girls in this instance :)

A colourful scattering of flowers on top of a granite stone at the Merry Maidens with the remainder of the circle blurred in the background.

Looking at my photos from my first trip to Chernobyl in 2014 feel so alien now. It takes a while to get myself into the headspace The Zone evoked. A truely sombre experience; oddly an area with the fewest people is the one place I've felt have a palpable spirit.

I'm moving house so I've recently organised and gathered all of my games workshop books together.

A plastic box containing games workshop manuals and suppliments, mostly from the 80s and 90s.

I'm moving house soon and am packing boxes; I remembered this thread and thought that you might get a kick out of my GW box.

I'm immensely pleased with myself after forging this blade and it actually turning out to be usable and an immediate replacement for my shop-bought camping knife.

A somewhat roughly made but functional steel knife with a paracrod wrapped handle.

Lol, even Google couldn't keep up the cringey "Gulf of America" crap for more than a couple of weeks.

Ah right, the storm is staying mostly east and north of the river.

@stoya.bsky.social as someone with whom I have shared news of the trials and tribulations of feline husbandry, may I introduce Bug. She's the pet of a family member who couldn't look after her anymore. The cat distribution system once again launching a tiny little cutie into our lives.

A very cute black and white cat looking at the camera with crossed front paws as she suns herself, indoors, on a blanket.

You're good! Deers is a less common but valid english word (we also know what you meant so the communication was successful). Irregular plurals are fun, interesting but also incredibly stupid. I'm always astounded when someone is as fluent as you are in a second language. Also: deer pics! Pls

I'm not much of an artist but I'm finding myself increasingly drawn to sketching ideas for creatures and characters in my RPGs so that I can better describe them to players.

A simple, inexpert pencil sketch of a crouching humanoid figure. It is squatting low and bending its twisted body forward. It lacks facial features other than a mouth, its back is hunched and its ribcage seems too lage for its other proportions. Its neck is elongated so it's head juts out too far.

Its skin is pock marked and dotted with tumerous growths.

Its left hand is in the viscrea of a dead rat and its right hand, which is mutated into a long boney blade, is placing some of the rat meat into its slit mouth.

Just to give the perspective from the STEM side of life too: (also maybe just life with ADHD)

A diagram headed "Life of a software engineer" (obviously crudely modified from the "life of an artist" diagram in the previous skeet).

A time line from birth to death. The first two segments are "gifted kid", the next 4 are "endless burnout", a small one-segment gap is marked with a cross and labelled "I am here", then the time line continues the last 3 segments to death are labelled "an old weirdo with a home studio" and the crude addition "weird art, hobbies, gardening, cooking, hiking... Rarely touching a computer

I love playing games in this dungeon terrain with my miniature's odd pose.

A wargame miniature of a sinister sorcerer appearing to gesture with his hand through a metal grating behind which is a pinky demon. The caption reads "is this a friend?", riffing on the butterfly meme

I've made the wargame terrain I wanted back in 1995 with some original 1995 Necromunda bulkheads and some cardstock. Looks pretty cool and collapses completely flat.

A small, two-storey wargame terrain setup using card and plastic bulkheads. Painted a uniform rusted metal colour.

I had a wonderful weekend playing miniature games with an old friend (we first played wargames together ~25 years ago). His dungeon setup is beautiful.

A 28mm miniature of a masked warlock seemingly barging through a door in an incredibly detailed model of a library in a fantasy dungeon. An orc is menagingly appearing from the edge of the picture.

Without downloading new pics, what is it like dating you?

VHS-quality film still of Satanic graffiti overlaid with a very dated looking caption reading "Heavy Metal, Videos, Fantasy Role-Playing Games, Comics, Sex, Symbols/Power, Cartoons, Drugs"

... Those two were, jointly, the inspiration for the STALKER video game series. This weird book and it's wide-ranging cultural impact is a significant portion of the reason why I've visited the Chernobyl exclusion zone twice (2014, 2018). The picture is a bar named Roadside Picnic in Chernobyl.
