There is an inaccuracy in policy on free child care. Not income but adjusted net income that must be under £100k ie after deducting gross pension conts; cld be as high as £160k. If promotion takes you just over, tiny increase in conts will avoid problem. Do your homework Kemi. #politicslive #cpc26

Even faster way of boosting UK high streets and hospitality etc would be to put proper tax on ridiculously cheap, holiday flights. By making them more expensive, we wld fly aborad less and spend more cash at home. We wld not need to expand airports & cld invest in reservoirs/clean energy instead.

Does it make sense to cut welfare for pensioners/sick to give "hand outs" to pubs, clubs etc! Real problem is super cheap flights encourage Brits to spend most disposable cash- £40bn net- overseas, airlines/airports also foreign owned. Raise tax on flying; use revenue to INVEST in UK. #newsnight
