The Knesset (Israel's parliament) elections panel has voted overwhelmingly to exclude all the Arab majority parties from participating in the upcoming national election. The decision will be reviewed by the Supreme Court. We couldn't possibly suggest that this sounds a little like apartheid.

The US situation is what will happen here if One Nation & a lot of Lib/National Party politicians get their way. Pregnancy is the biggest statistical risk to women's health - after ex- and partner violence. The next politician to say a version of 'feminism has gorn too far' should be abyss-hurled.

The type of enterprise the tax system should reward is not the “make a startup, sell to private equity, then buy a yacht” type but the “build something that creates employment and shared prosperity long term” type. All this CGT whinging is just amorality being treated like it’s something good.

This what Israel has done to Gaza. Forbidden pics by a Washington Post photographer whose Jordanian air crew didn't pass on Israel's order to only photograph aid being dropped. City, suburbs, schools, people: bombed to rubble. People being starved in makeshift camps on road roundabouts. #Genocide
Aerial shot of Gaza City, burned and bombed into burned and shattered, unliveable wreckage as far as can be seen.Whole area that used to be houses, shops, public transport routes, made into rubble and blackened, unliveable ruins. Aerial shot shows vast area entirely obliterated as habitable, attacked again and again by Israeli forces. Several wrecked Gaza schools, shown from the air, pulverised by Israel's forces: windows all gaping, bombed out and covered in ash and dust. Some people are trying to live in makeshift camps amid the destruction, in former quadrangles and bomb sites. Aerial shots of neighbourhoods with destroyed apartment buildings, houses, offices and shops, all bombed by Israel's government. Starving people are trying to live in tents and makeshift cubbies on the former roundabouts on a main road.

My other #Gaza cartoon from @theshot.net.au theshot.net.au/uncategorize...
Cartoon: Scene is a game show entitled "WHOSE MORAL RESPONSIBILITY IS IT ANYWAY?"
The host is reading to the contestant (the Earth who is looking thoughtful) from a card: Around 2 million displaced, traumatised people are being deliberately starved by an occupying power. Do you...?"
He gestures to a large screen with four options:
* Assume they probably deserve it
* Pretend it's not happening
* Feel bad but lie down until the feeling goes away
* Do whatever it @^$%ing takes to make it stop!

Ahh love the "we have a gas shortage" stories. Nope, foreign gas companies just prefer to sell Australia's gas overseas for more profit. (they also pay bugger all tax, and barely any royalties)
Chart showing that in 2022-23 4,976PJ of gas was either exported as LNG or used to convert gas to LNG. Meanwhile the projected shortage of gas in the 2030s is around 300PJ.
