Reposted by Danny Battermanharmony woods @harmonyjwoods.bsky.social · 03/09/2026I've been working on a guide for my Dimir Moonshadow list for a while and I'm glad to announce that it's finally out (for free!) It has 5k words and delves into the sideboarding plans, deckbuilding philosophy, and gives many tips and tricks. drive.google.com/file/d/1aPo2... @fireshoes.bsky.socialdrive.google.comdimir moonshadow guide.pdf 2155

Danny Batterman @dbatterskull.bsky.social · 10/08/2026Tried Moonshadow first. Without Wasteland it just felt kinda anemic. It would be like a 3/3 where Goyf would regularly be a 4/5 or 5/6. The play pattern w/ Bauble is also weird in the sense that you actively want to hold it sometimes, so firing it off on Moonshadow doesn't always happen 110
Danny Batterman @dbatterskull.bsky.social · 10/08/2026T8ed my LGS' monthly event w/ UB Aggro Car. Idea was to combine @harmonyjwoods.bsky.social's UB deck w/ the smallest possible Car package to create a ReScam style deck that can win fair or unfair. If Car stays legal I think this is the way to build it going forward cc: @fireshoes.bsky.social 191
Danny Batterman @dbatterskull.bsky.social · 21/07/2026Qing is a very large chunk of time to set aside for people who are now at least in their mid 40s and have other responsibilities. Like you said earlier, we should be able to judge them at their heights relative to their peers at the time. This doesn’t allow for that 000
Danny Batterman @dbatterskull.bsky.social · 20/07/2026One of the unique factors Magic has compared to many other competitive games is you can have the titans of the 90s/00s play against the stars of today. It sucks that people like Pikula and Heezy are no longer eligible to be part of these matchups despite having HoF worthy careers under old standards 130
Danny Batterman @dbatterskull.bsky.social · 20/07/2026As an MTG historian, I love that the HoF has returned. However, I think the entry requirements are flawed. 23/48 members of the HoF wouldn't be eligible for induction given today's rules. 8/23 got there post induction, but who knows if they could have if not for the invite granted by being HoFers 262

Danny Batterman @dbatterskull.bsky.social · 11/05/2026Okay, that’s pretty funny. My team had a similar experience where we played this T3 vs Czech Pile then attacked with it nine times for games while the pilot just stared at us 020
Danny Batterman @dbatterskull.bsky.social · 11/05/2026Cowards. Should have gone all the way and registered this bad boy (split the finals of a std/mod/leg trios event w/ multiple of these in our main during Czech Pile era) 100
Danny Batterman @dbatterskull.bsky.social · 06/05/2026Potentially free, but as the format stands at the moment not particularly inclined. Thanks for the heads up though! 200
