Standen House . . . is an Arts and Crafts house located to the south of East Grinstead, West Sussex, England.

James and Margaret Beale chose an idyllic location with views across the Sussex countryside for their rural retreat. Designed by Philip Webb, the house is one of the finest examples of Arts and Crafts workmanship, with Morris & Co. interiors. The house is dressed for a weekend stay in 1925.

Walking in woodland yesterday. I didn't get much further than this, as I saw a sign on a tree saying it's a nesting site for protected bird species. I turned back and got out of there. #infrared #photography #trees #ClassicMono #blackandwhite

This shot came out slightly off. The sun was bright, the trees are overexposed, and the colour is murky. But the heat was too much, so I only took one snap before heading back to the path. I do like the cloud texture. A #quiet place on the moors, where nobody walks. #BlueSkyArtShow #infrared
