Abandoned Fordson. (Parked up and 'abandoned' at the entrance to a house along the road from me. Incredibly difficult to get a half-decent photo, it's in a dark corner surrounded by other 'stuff', very happy with this attempt.) Camera: Yashica A Film: Ilford FP4+ #believeinfilm #filmphotography

The old tractor is not complete and has an abandoned look, however it is carefully tucked into a dark corner at the side if an entrance to a house. I think the house may belong to the folk who own a blacksmiths and agricultural engineering company next door. In the photo, the starting handle can be seen. One of the fuel tanks is missing (the paraffin tank I think) and a small oval petrol tank is visible just in front of the steering wheel. The engine is partially disassembled, with the cylinder head lifted slightly off the engine block and the valve springs and valve stems can be seen. What is left of the tractor is rusty, however it has been given a clear-coat of lacquer. It is extremely challenging to get a good photograph due to its location at the entrance to a house and it is tucked into a very dark corner next to a large thick hedge, weeds and grasses are beginning to grow around it. The corrugated roof of the agricultural engineer's sheds are visible in the photo as well.

I am really happy with how this photo turned out, I've been trying for a few years to get a photo of it that I am happy with. This photo was made one evening in the summer when it was just about illuminated by a low sun. This photo was made using my battered old Yashica A tlr camera. It seems to have a way of giving me photos that I like and I;m so pleased the shot was made with this particular camera.

Went to view a local exhibition of b&w photos this morning. Some were a bit abstract but I couldn't help viewing one with my head tilted to the side, to the amusement of the attendant. I recognised it as a small waterfall, however the photograph had been hung horizontally rather than vertically 😊
