Beyond the obscene concentration of capitalist wealth in the hands of Silicon Valley’s tech billionaires, SpaceX’s IPO highlights another alarming trend that is often overlooked, writes @davvkamp.bsky.social.

Essential reading from @davvkamp.bsky.social on how founder control explains the concentration of power in the hands of tech billionaires and exposes the myth of shareholder democracy tribunemag.co.uk/2026/07/the-...

New in @finandsoc.bsky.social: ‘The non-death of Adam Neumann’, unpacking the return of WeWork’s disgraced founder. It’s about Silicon Valley’s ambivalence to failure & fraud, and how venture capital rewards already-powerful, ruthless and deceptive serial founders. www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

How has founder control shaped consolidated power in major US tech firms? In a new SER article, @davvkamp.bsky.social examines how venture capital shifted toward a winners-take-all model after 2010, enabling founders to retain disproportionate control and influence academic.oup.com/ser/advance-...

How do tech founder-CEOs such as Zuckerberg and Musk stay in control of tech monopolies? @davvkamp.bsky.social argues that venture capital follows a winners-take-all logic in which founder control became crucial post-2010, helping to explain the concentration of power in US Tech.

Recommended reading and timely, too, as the British Chancellor continues to falsely assume that pandering to financial fractions in the City will result in the investment which is so desperately needed across economy and society www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

Gaza is now officially in IPC Phase 5, the final stage of hunger. Designated as 'catastrophe'. A further 67 of the starving were killed by IDF soldiers yesterday trying to access food. Witnesses say the victims had their hands held in the air. One day, everyone will have always been against this.
A Palestinian girl cries out for food with her hands held out at a charity kitchen amid the famine in Gaza. She is surrounded by other young, anguished children. This photo was taken on Thurs July 11, 2025 after at least 10 children were killed by an Israeli strike as they queued outside a medical point. More Palestinians have now been killed just waiting for food than the number of victims killed in the Hamas terrorist attack of October 7.
