It's not a meeting if you don't need to adjust your schedule around it. You're stretching it a bit thin here 😉

Tried Fable on a couple design tasks and was underwhelmed, to say the least. Glad it's working for you and some others! Guess people outside the US are getting a nerfed version of the model or something 🤷

Build your way out of a task when: - it recurs - you're pasting between apps that should just talk to each other - you're paying for SaaS that does 10% of what you need Pick one with clear ROI. Build that first (this week).

Wearing a mechanical wrist watch after a few year's pause. Still a bit connected, but not too much 😊 Liking it! Might start collecting watches in the end 😁

Aaand have a macOS app ready to go – a whole different little beast – but waiting on the Apple Developer process to be done before I can start distributing 😄

Not sure if it's a rhetorical question or...? 😄 A language learning "anti-app" in the sense that it's the polar opposite of Duolingo and all else that thrives on gamification.

Couple weeks ago a CTO contacted me about a role at their company. After three failed calls, I figured they are trying to access my machine.

Just tried them yesterday (Pencil) and today (Paper)! They both unlock wonderful possibilities for designers ❤️

I love the iterative approach! Realistically, that's the only rational way forward in this irrationally fast-developing space 😅 Can't wait to take Agent OS v3 for a spin!

Solid, but can be a tad bit too generic when it comes to look & feel. Still, amazing framework!

Ditto. In all fairness to Asimov, it's a quote from a character from Foundation, so perhaps not necessarily Asimov's personal philosophy for all we know.

I'll admit that I don't get what you're saying, but that's on me. Perhaps it's fine to have items in the system that can't be previewed in context. As a designer, when I see properties like line-height and letter-spacing, my brain expects to see them applied on a paragraph or a line of text 😁

Wonderful! 🙏

Appreciate the effort, but I was hoping to see examples using actual text. Wouldn't it be better seeing these different settings in the actual context?

Font metrics → would it be possible to make it more visual so that it's easy to understand the impact of each respective option?

Davor @davor.fyi · 22/12/2025
For transitions and motions, it would be cool if you could see them roll out on hover for every respective variant. In other words, to be able to see them "on demand" instead of only once, on load.

The story of how we create with AI is still unfolding. First, it made our old workflows faster. But now the good part: fundamentally rethinking what our workflows should be.

I've been vibe-coding for the past few days and haven't had so much fun and learned so much in a long time! Then I tried "vibe-designing" with aura.build and onlook.com - ended up being utterly disappointed. Those free credits will take you nowhere, fast. Fellow designers, this is our time!

Had a lovely hike yesterday. Discovered a wonderful park pretty near our home. Will surely go there again!
A winding dirt path through a mixed Nordic forest with tall birch and pine trees, moss-covered boulders, and dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy. A perfectly still lake creating mirror-like reflections of dramatic clouds and surrounding forest, with the sky and trees doubled in the calm water surfaceAquatic grasses and reeds with golden seed heads growing along a pond's edge, creating natural textures above the dark water surfaceA weathered wooden bench sits in a wildflower meadow filled with bright yellow blooms, surrounded by green forest in the background.

Many people think that building a great AI tool capable of creating for the web is just about wrapping OpenAI or Anthropic APIs. Honestly, we thought so too. But the reality couldn't be further from the truth. You need so much more than that. The number of things it has to reason about and build is

All other issues aside, there's going to be major "prompt engineering" burnout for some if not all usecases. Having to create precise verbal instructions is way more taxing & ultimately less rewarding than browsing stock, or sketching, or talking ideas w/ a human artist, or just writing the copy.

Oh yeah, and one other "tiny" problem with having a device tucked behind a huge TV panel. The remote control can't operate as smoothly, either. So both basic control and connectivity are hindered *by design* 🤡

Product design (physical) rant → Google Chromecast was designed to be plugged into a HDMI port of a TV device — hence end up hanging *behind* the TV itself — and at the same time only offer Wi-Fi connectivity. Otherwise a pretty decent device. Once you buy an HDMI extension cable 😄
