There a very contentious “safer street” debate in the neighborhood right now and all the NIMBY folks of all stripes swear they never see people out of cars, and anytime I’m biking or running on it, I’m floored by their car brain. The street was hopping with people outside of cars this morning.

City finds decrease in pedestrian fatalities and a 10% decrease in car crashes due to traffic calming measures. Yet, in is presentation for a survey, declares these a “marginal safety improvement”. Just so frustrating. These are good things people!!!
