I often see SPR employees drive onto this sidewalk to service the trash cans there. Saves them maybe 10 feet of walking, blocks the whole sidewalk, tears up the landscaping.

For a second I wondered why there's a Japanese flag sign at 23rd & John and then I remembered it's the no turn on red sign 🇯🇵

I continue to believe that a bike lane is only "protected" if it has steel beams anchored into concrete to keep drivers out.

"Protected" bike lane on Airport Way S at S Lucille Street fully blocked by the concrete barrier intended to protect it. Presumably knocked out of place by an errant driver.

Hot take: If @flysea.bsky.social wants to run a golf cart along the only pedestrian connection to the light rail they should just drive it at walking speed instead of taking half the space and honking at people.

Here are two more examples. Northbound at 23rd & John is the same situation (two lanes, one turn only, with three signals and no signs), while Madison & 23rd has some lane guidance signs in advance of the intersection but still none at the lights.

Part of the confusion here is probably SDOT's insistence on installing three signals above two lanes of traffic with zero signs explaining that the left lane is turn only (they just paint it on the ground). @transportation.seattle.gov

I love how Lander St next to SoDo Station has 7 lanes for cars but the best SDOT could do with the two-way PBL was route it onto a substandard 6' sidewalk that's used as a bus loading zone.
