My most authoritarian opinion is that if you kill someone through your driving, you should never be allowed behind the wheel again. I don’t care if it causes you inconvenience - it’s a lot less inconvenient than being dead. Honestly, it baffles me that this is seen as extreme.

Austerity is a political choice. UK govt gave £70.6bn tax relief on pension contributions. 63% went to 6m 40%/45% tax rate payers. 37% to 28.1m basic rate taxpayers. By fixing the relief at 20% for all Govt can reduce inequalities and have £14.5bn spare. End tax perks of the rich.
