I'm not expert but I know one measure of income inequality is the Gini coefficient, which has only grown under both NDP and Eby, even after adjusting for taxes: doi.org/10.25318/111.... If the NDP isn't reducing inequality between working class and the wealthy, who is the party even for?

Who is draining Africa? This figure shows net-appropriation of resources from Africa's CFA zone, illustrating two key facts. 1) Eurozone countries are the biggest appropriators, benefitting from the Francafrique system. 2) Contrary to conventional Western narratives, China's appropriation is tiny.

45 citations in the report: 5 correct, 28 partially fabricated, 12 completely fabricated. TBH I'd like to see a study assessing what percent of people paid to implement AI (like KPMG) actually understand how LLMs work and know, e.g., these sorts of errors are inherent to LLMs.

Anyone know if there are issues with saltwater? I'm imagining these get splashed with saltwater given waves and storms and whatnot, even if they are in protected harbours. Also, imagine if part of your job responsibilities was to water these! That would be a cool job.

You may’ve seen coverage of a new report on the threat to national security from environmental collapse. A common response that’s got my goat is: “Look, it’s not just tree-hugging enviros saying this, it’s hard-nosed spooks!” A short thread on why this framing is bad history & bad politics🧵😡😉

Source: www.reddit.com/r/PropagandaPosters/comments/138rxfv/does_the_bicycle_make_women_cruel_cartoon/
This particular print of the cartoon likely came from the Omaha World-Herald. Women riding bicycles was considered a controversy in the late 1800's. As such, when a French doctor made a statement that bicycles made women manic and demented, newspapers were quick to run an article about his statements.

An excerpt of said article here:

The doctors of France are puzzled by a new mania which is afflicting women who ride bicycles. The feminine cyclists are becoming extremely cruel. Medical men who have made a study of the matter are inclined to ascribe it to a form of insanity…

They found seventeen women who had been seized with the same irrepressible desire to injure all cyclists of their own sex whenever possible, at such time as they were at the wheel. The desire apparently took the same form in every instance, the first action being a violent collision, and then repeated attempts to ride over the form of the fallen cyclist.
