I live Northwest of Chicago. I’m not driving to Indiana for a football game. If the bears move to Indiana maybe we get an NFL team for the North side.

I don’t like it, but let’s be honest. This isn’t remotely the most corrupt thing that either Trump or FIFA have ever done.

Chicago should have been a host city, but between the ridiculously high ticket prices and the Trump administration I don’t think this World Cup will be as well attended as it usually is. I’m not really feeling excited for it.

Looking forward to seeing all of mainstream media call this blatant looting of the Treasury "highly unorthodox" and "a break from norms." They might even say it's “testing the limits of presidential power” if they're feeling frisky. None dare call it corruption.

DOJ sets up $1.7B ‘anti-weaponization’ fund after Trump drops IRS lawsuit
The massive taxpayer-backed fund was set up to settle what outside legal experts had called an “unprecedented” lawsuit filed by the sitting president against the government.

Then why are you making it a big deal? I personally could care less about her and have no idea why I keep responding to your posts. Other athletes do get shamed for taking more money to compete for other teams. They at least are honest about what they are doing. Good bye.

David Giesinger @davidgiesinger.bsky.social · 19/02/2026
Oh, we’re changing the subject to China now? Thought we were talking about a specific athlete. She isn’t competing for China because she wants to grow the sport. She’s doing it because she can make more money. I have zero problem with that, but be honest about it.

David Giesinger @davidgiesinger.bsky.social · 19/02/2026
You mean other than the Chinese government disclosing how much they pay her and other athletes to compete for China? Yeah, that really helps her desire to “grow the sport”.

David Giesinger @davidgiesinger.bsky.social · 19/02/2026
Read my post again. Where do you see me criticizing her for profiting for her talents. Just calling out the B.S. about growing the sport. You decided to make more money. Fine. Own it.

David Giesinger @davidgiesinger.bsky.social · 19/02/2026
I personally could care less about her or Vance, but let’s stop the B.S. about “growing the sport”. She made a financial decision that she could make a lot more money competing for China.

It was literally part of the news coverage in 2016 that Obama met with Biden and told him not to run. Part of Biden’s reluctance to withdraw from 2024 was because of being told not to run in 2016. I agree, this is tiresome. Good bye.

The primary was divisive because the party leadership chose the candidate and that wasn’t who the voters wanted.

David Giesinger @davidgiesinger.bsky.social · 10/12/2025
Joe Biden and other serious democratic candidates were told that it was Hillary’s turn and not to run. It was far from competitive. The fact that Hillary struggled to defeat an independent was a sign of how weak a candidate she was.

David Giesinger @davidgiesinger.bsky.social · 10/12/2025
Joe Biden and every other serious democratic candidate was told that it was Hillary’s turn and not to run. As a result the only person that ran against her was Bernie, an independent. If you think that was a competitive primary then I don’t what to tell you.

David Giesinger @davidgiesinger.bsky.social · 09/12/2025
I think the common thread for democrats losing the presidential elections in 2016 and 2024 was the lack of a competitive primary. The party was told it was Hillary’s turn in 2016 and Biden’s decision to drop out late prevented one in 2024.

korean reporting is nightmarish on the conditions Korean workers were contained in
Their waists and hands were tied together, forcing them to bend down and lick water to drink. The unscreened bathrooms contained only a single sheet to cover their lower bodies. Sunlight barely penetrated through a fist-sized hole, and they were only allowed access to the small yard for two hours. Detained by US immigration authorities for eight days, the workers and their families expressed shock, describing human rights violations and absurdities they could not have imagined as ordinary Koreans living in 2025.
