This lovely picture was displayed at John Pidcock’s funeral last week. John was a founder member of #PushBikes #Birmingham cycling campaign in 1979. Taking a long time to get a safe 8-80 active travel network. But a lot of progress too.

Put the large @biketalk.bsky.social sticker on the car. Had to drive a lot lately even to aging cyclist meet ups. But in every car park or housing estate you will see cars with bike racks. Most showrooms too. It’s not a war.

In the summer a group of us celebrated my friend John Bennett’s 90th Birthday as he led a 90k ride to Stratford on Avon meeting friends on the way and returning by train. Raised a good sum for Acorns the local children’s Hospice.
