NPR this morning on "how did the power grid do in the 'great storm'?" Quick summary: in the North, supplies of LNG almost ran out. In the South, widespread electrical power shortfalls. Ice (the frozen water kind) did have a lot to do with it.

JMO, but why doesn't ICE *start* by investigating/deporting every *felon* in every prison, state or federal. Seems that'd be a better population to be rid of than those seeking residency/citizenship *within* the system, or those attending pre-, elementary -, or high school, or university or college

It occurs to me a two-way pipeline & storage for air (or at least heat) could be very welcome. In the winter, heat stored during the Texas summer could be piped to the prairies. In summer, cold air from the prairies could be exported to Texas.
