I attended a planning committee meeting once. One city councilor was incoherent and rambling. The press reports the next day had a shared narrative about what he had said - although anyone present hadn't heard that. The press too often are complicit - taking access in exchange for the whitewash.

East end LRT has stops that are literally in the middle of a highway. Big chunks of the LRT budget were for highway widening. Ottawa is not a serious city.

The city has failed to invest in recreational infrastructure - new pools - as the population grows. That's because of the lack of vision of you and your predecessors, artificially suppressing taxes.

Ride the subway in Montreal or Toronto. Each station has a sense of place, and common elements for wayfinding. Ottawa? Can barely tell the stations apart. Ottawa needs to become a city, and not just loose collection of decrepit low tax enclaves.

I thought about this a lot when writing Father Francis Loyola, aka The Pope's Hitman. Loyola is a compulsive planner when given the luxury, running through multiple scenarios including many that don't come to pass but almost always inform the chaos when strategy encounters the enemy.

This morning — following two investigations into Toronto mayoral candidate Brad Bradford's use of an app that rewards supporters for posting AI-generated comments and sharing contacts — Bradford called our reporting "inaccurate." We're now releasing the recording that proves our reporting.

Bradford calls CNO reporting of AI app rewards ‘inaccurate.’ Here’s the recording proving our reporting.

Canada’s National Observer has decided to publish the segment of the Zoom call that corroborates its reporting.

PPS are police. They're part of the chaos and confusion of law enforcement in and around the hill. PPS, RCMP, OPS and potentially OPP may all individually have jurisdiction in some places. There are some officer cross-credentialed between forces for ease of work.
