We live in a rural area which doesn't have convenient or frequent public transport. No bus stop within 2km. But..our work arrangements have allowed us to change from 2 cars to 1 car and 1 E-Bike. 11 months on and we have no regrets. I know we are fortunate and that it's not possible for everyone.

Granted. It is grammatically wrong. It was the wrongness of the original Yogi Berra quote that made it funny and caused it to live on in pop culture. I guess only the author in this thread would know if it they made a grammatical error or if they intended it as a humorous nod to the original.

Cyclists do not automatically have the right of way. Helmets are not a legal requirement. Similar to cars, they were introduced for racing. In cycle friendly cities on the mainland (Europe), helmets are rarely worn. Lights are a legal requirement during hours of darkness.

Definitely need more automatic cameras for speeding and at traffic lights along with enforcement of illegal numberplates. Automatic geolocation/GPS speed limiters on motorised vehicles should be rolled out too, without the easy bypass features. The focus should be on reducing speed.
