Personally, I don't condone kill-on-sight. They'd use that to justify (hypocritically) lethal crackdowns on the "radical left". Lethal force to protect a victim? Sure, if necessary. But intolerance of intolerance can mean elimination of the threat without violence, unless necessary.

Social justice initiatives are economic investments that have HUGE economic returns. We have a moral imperative to provide healthcare, housing, education, (etc.) to those who need them even if they weren't smart investments. But they are. Agreed. But I'm torn... Trump won the election in part because Progressives refused to vote Harris, since she supports Israel re: Gaza genocide. "Lesser of two evils" voting means "sacrifice those oppressed by both sides" and I fear Newsome (et al) will lose a future election for the same reason.

Political violence isn’t just people being shot with guns. It’s starving people while food rots in warehouses. It’s denying healthcare so preventable illnesses kill. It’s leaving people homeless in a world of empty houses. Those are policy choices, and that’s political violence too.
