If they have an issue with John's oath, but not with Jack T. Chance's, I'm gonna doubt their bona fides.
A splash page featuring the exploits of Jack T. Chance, one of the Green Lantern Corps from DC comics. It includes his version of the Lantern's oath:

You who are wicked, evil and mean:
I'm the nastiest creep you've ever seen.
Come one, come all, put up a fight.
I'll pound your butts with Green Lantern's light. Yowza.

And telling backers that they need to "behave"? Like they're a parent scolding a toddler? Fuuuuuuuck this. Glad I didn't back this garbage and sorry for everyone who did.
Screenshot of a Kickstarter post from the "To Insanity and Beyond" project. It reads "compliance with Kickstarter policies on this. Yes, we embrace Al in important ways for our creative projects. No we won't be issuing refunds if you aren't cool with that. No, your friends left the project, you can chat with me, head Rät. Yes, those that behave themselves will get a $20 store credit for Scrap Räts merch as a thank you for your support of our little project here (including older scrap rats zines if that's your thing). I bought a Ford Ranger in orange back in 2021. I have only ever seen one other in that color despite seeing black and grey Rangers all the time.

I started my PhD program with an eight week old at home, sole income being my doctoral stipend, in a history program, in Knoxville, TN. And every month we got a new book to read to my son, free, mailed to us, so my kid, my kids, grew up in rooms full of books even when I had no money. That's Dolly.

This #LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday is a real mixed bag. The Devil's Mouth and All Night Wrong were both fun, but forgettable. Blood and Black Lace is the giallo GOAT. My wife described Zoe as 'sex robot mumblecore'. Great actors couldn't save a boring script and bad direction/cinematography

The eternal question: when a dickbag calls my entire state 'stupid' because there are some terrible people in it (and ignores all of the great and caring people who also live there) do I comment on how much their supposed aspirations of being a "decent human being" are failing? Or just block them?

Question for 3D printing folks: My wife made a box for my Conan TTRPG cards with a logo on it. Looks great in person, but is blurry in pics. If I shoot at an angle it's less blurry, but never great. What's happening? The divider text is fine in pics, unlike the top #3dprinting #3dprint #rpg #ttrpg

We do! I have a deep love of bad movies on Tubi and watched all of The Stepfather movies including the crappy made-for-TV sequel and the even crappier 2009 remake. I thought Taye’s version was a lot of fun even if it probably had a budget of about $75 and some change found in the couch cushions.

A weird bug in my #LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday is putting my Movies Watched out of order. This week's movies were actually Seneca, more (bad) Joe Bob Briggs, and Nausicaä. That makes four Miyazaki films I've seen and I've been ordered to watch the rest. So expect that in the days to come.

The #LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday was a big hit! R.Rex was a Last Drive-In w/Joe Bob. The rest are some of the best I've seen all year! Backrooms: well-done if kinda predictable. Robin Hood: 1 of Jackman's "sad dad" series that I am very seated for. Holy cow! Obsession! Super recommend it!

My #LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday is mostly hits once more! After I watched Hokum, I immediately had to watch Caveat. Now I've seen and loved all of McCarthy's movies. I knew Kill Bill: the Whole Bloody Affair would be fun since I've seen each part. Sadly, not even Karl Urban could save MKII

My #LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday is mostly hits! Quick & the Dead was 100% Raimi. They Will Kill You wasn't what I expected: I loved it. Sheep Detectives was going to be a film from the studio that made Felidae (1994)?! Can't imagine how that would've gone. Abraham's Boys was the only dud.

This #LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday is a bit all over. First, "Master & Commander" to follow along with @blankcheck.bsky.social. Next, two low-budget movies that I think could've been good if they'd had bigger budgets. Last, "The Bride!" which is the only one of the four I regret watching.

It's #LetterboxdFriday and this week's #LastFourWatched really shows that we've been on a sleazy thriller kick. But I dare you to say something bad about movies with Debbie Harry, Martin Kemp, or Eric Bogosian! (Daisy Ridley is really good too, but that doesn't belong in the thriller genre)
