My vote YES on 40 was perhaps the first time in my life I've agreed with Bernie Sanders on a specific policy issue. The opposition by @gavinnewsom.bsky.social made that weird pill much easier to swallow. It's like he's trying to win back Guilfoyle's affections.

Yep, those 'paid for by' lists are invaluable. I rely on volume too. The more ads I see for something, the more money is being spent on it, the more wealth that position is generally trying to protect. It doesn't work as a sole determinant, but it usually winds up being relevant somehow.

Between Fetterman and Collins, the odds of a safely 'conservative' replacement are pretty solid, really. If Republicans lose the Senate those odds go down to almost zero. Even a 50% chance during a lame duck period ofders better odds than a ~0% chance after. The real unspoken variable is Thomas.

*Seriously it's a scam. I registered for housing for my last year but changed plans a month before. Figured that I'd lose my $1600 deposit, they demanded the ENTIRE $6000 for a room I never occupied. Screwed my last year's registration, took MONTHS to get my money back. Total scam, still angry 🤬

A stream passing thru Plumas Nat'l Forest in CA. Spent probably 2 or 3 hours at this stop, just exploring with no one around, no expectations, no responsibilities. Heaven.

An old homestead in the Verdugo mountains up above Burbank/Glendale. Doesn't look burned out, but definitely picked apart. The trail to/from has been cleared out a bunch over the years, when I first saw the chimney top from the main fire road it was a real trek thru the brush to get there.

It me. The Vasquez rocks are not a lonely spot by any stretch, but if you're lucky you can get there during a lull between Gorn fans.

At some point the loopy coasters became too much for my weaksauce stomach and I started taking them with my eyes closed.

The whole park (well most of it) from atop one of X2's high points.

So I miss the entire show as it happens, but I hold a camera up with the shutter on repeat so I can see later what I missed.

Most of the shots wind up being blurry madness, but there's an occasional gem.
