Clear sky over #Manchester this morning - a minor miracle - so it was COLD and there was a rather nice view of the Moon and Jupiter! Me neither, and I grew up with herons all around me in the Lake District! The RSPB told me it might be sunbathing, or trying to kill off parasites, or drying its feathers... they say it's known as the "flasher pose" to the cognoscenti, or "delta wing pose" amongst the childish and puerile!
