Here's something the media is hardly talking about. This Government is set to oversee the steepest fall in living standards in modern times - unless they change course fast. In less than two weeks Labour faces a stark choice - will they tax wealth and back the majority?
Under current projections this is set to be the worst parliament on record for living standards growth - and a bar chart demonstrating it

The climate crisis poses a critical defence threat. So why are MPs still being denied access to the full Joint Intelligence Committee report?
Graphic with a map-style weather image in the background and a black-and-white photo of Adrian Ramsay, MP for Waveney Valley. Headline reads: “UK WARNS EL NIÑO POSES CRITICAL DEFENCE THREAT.” A quote from Adrian Ramsay reads: “It’s good that the foreign secretary is presenting the findings of this crucial report to ministers from other governments. But it begs the question, why are MPs in this country still being denied access to the full report? And, most importantly, why has our government still not published its response to how it will address the stark findings?”

Labour and Burnham have been silent on capping political donations while Reform gets £72 million from Farage's billionaire mates. We need @zackpolanski.bsky.social in Parliament to hold Labour to account, not another Labour backbencher to wave through Burnham's policies without scrutiny.
A quote from Rachel Millward, Deputy Leader of the Green Party. It reads, "Reform is a vessel for the super wealthy. They will always act in the interests of the super wealthy. Labour could have stopped this years ago by capping donations. Burnham promised to do it then backtracked. Will he now admit this was a mistake? Burnham and Labour have been quiet on a donations cap for the last 24 hours. The public needs to know where he stands."

When Burnham launched his campaign to become MP for Makerfield he said "There's £39bn allocated over a 10 year period... I'm saying that should be dedicated to council homes". Today Burnham backtracked on this proposal to dedicate housing funds for social homes.
A quote graphic attributed to Hannah Spencer MP that says "This is a massive backtrack by Andy Burnham who made a clear pledge to dedicate the £39bn Affordable Homes Programme to building desperately needed council housing. It is another missed opportunity to provide the genuinely affordable housing that is so desperately needed. I hear from so many people who are stuck on waiting lists, living in temporary accommodation or who are homeless. Andy Burnham is continuing to let these people down."

Eleanora Folan of Stats for Lefties has just been elected to the Green Party's governing Council. (It's the first victory announcement I've seen say: "I welcome their hatred")
A Green Party graphic on a white background. A green banner across the top reads "THANK YOU GREEN PARTY MEMBERS!" in white capitals. Top right is a photo of a woman with turquoise and blonde hair, round glasses, pink over-ear headphones and a black-and-white keffiyeh, taking a mirror selfie with a phone in one hand and making a peace sign with the other; she wears a watermelon pendant.
The text reads: "I'm very happy to say Green members in East Anglia have elected me to be their female rep on the party's governing council (GPC). I'm so grateful to them, and to Greens for Palestine for their support.
I intend to stand by my manifesto: defend freedom of speech regarding Israel, support members when they're attacked and smeared by the feral Zionist press, and ensure all our members follow the same rules. In short: free speech, solidarity, equality.
I know there will be Zionists reading this who are utterly furious that I won. I welcome their hatred.
Our party has changed, and my election as a proud anti-Zionist trans woman symbolises that change. I look forward to working with comrades on GPC to build a radical anti-imperialist Green Party – one that always stands shoulder-to-shoulder with queers, Palestinians, disabled people, migrants, refugees and activists enduring state repression.
Inshallah we will prevail."
Signed in green text: "Eleanora Sophie Folan", with "GPC Rep for the East of England (Female place)" beneath. Bottom right is a Greens for Palestine logo — a raised fist in front of a globe, framed by green leaves — with the words "ENDORSED BY GREENS FOR PALESTINE".

Water nationalisation for our water security? End north sea oil & gas - invest in renewables for our energy security? A maximum workplace temperature for worker security? No. A request not to sell BBQs. This is dire from Andy Burnham. Spectacularly mishandling the crisis.
Burnham had faced calls from the green party to chair a cobra meeting on the heatwaves with leader Zack Polanski accusing the pm of inaction amid threats to public health and food supplies

Last week Zack demanded that the UK government hold an emergency COBR meeting in response to the climate emergency. The Prime Minister Andy Burnham has finally listened to this call; the PM must set out his plans for how will keep this country safe today and how he will prepare for threats to come.
A quote graphic from Zack Polanski leader of the Green Party saying: "When the country is burning and people are dying, the PM had to call this meeting. But this is only a first step. What we urgently need is concrete action. That must include taxing fossil fuel giants to pay for firefighting helicopters, a cool space in every community, and a maximum working temperature. The prime minister must also commit to no new oil and gas extraction in the North Sea. We cannot negotiate with the science."

The new Defence Secretary Wes Streeting has acknowledged that Israel is committing war crimes and that Britain has a moral and legal responsibility to respond. Today, Ellie Chowns MP has written to him calling on the Government to match those words with action, by ending all arms sales to Israel.
A two-page letter from Dr Ellie Chowns, Defence Lead for the Green Party of England and Wales, to the new Defence Secretary, Wes Streeting, dated 21 July 2026. The letter congratulates him on his appointment before urging him to end the UK's complicity in the genocide in Gaza. It notes Streeting's previous public statements that Israel is committing war crimes and that the UK has a moral and legal responsibility to respond. The letter cites findings from the International Court of Justice, International Criminal Court and UN bodies, argues that UK arms exports and participation in the F-35 programme risk breaching international law, and asks Streeting three questions about ending arms sales and military cooperation with Israel, recognising UN findings, and implementing international legal rulings. It concludes by urging him to match his previous statements with action by ending all UK arms sales to Israel.
