I have read a lot of fantasy novels and series. But the 16-book marathon that is Robin Hobbs's "Fitz and the Fool" series is some of the best fantasy writing I have ever read. I bawled and bawled through the final chapters, with everything tied up so beautifully. Best. Reading. Ever.

A great example of the nonsense that crops up around City. Rival fans in uproar at the end of last week about City supposedly avoiding paying a couple of million quid of a sell on clause that never actually existed.

I've been writing my book for several months now, paid for a more advanced model. Took a break. Came back.
Now Ms. GPT says she can't generate content in the style of specific authors. My prompts were soooo specific and I got exactly what I wanted out of them. For example,
'rewrite in the literary style of 'author here' with abundant dialogue and detail avoiding staccato prose. That was my go-to. Or 'please write and flesh out in the style of
'author' etc. they tightened the ropes. I have no idea how to get around this other than maybe feed it prose I already edited that's technically mine? Fuck.

Absolutely 💯 Tax Them…. NEW: Over the World Cup final weekend, ~3,000 private jets flew in and out of the NY area. On the last day, private jet CO2 in the area doubled its 5-year norm(!). Private jets are the most carbon-intensive form of travel. Tax them.

In April 2024, Spain ran its entire national grid on 100% renewable electricity for a full day — and solar was the single largest contributor. No gas. No coal. No nuclear on standby. The lights stayed on in Madrid and Barcelona with nothing but wind, hydro, and sun. Stop #oilandgas !! #ActOnClimate
