Star Trek Strange New Worlds short story contest from Pocket Books ran from 1998 to 2007 and returned in 2016 for Trek’s 50th anniversary. I submitted a story for SNW8 (2005). “Alpha & Omega,” it was my first pro sale, and I won the grand prize. My 2016 story “The Dreamer and the Dream” also won. 🖖🏾
