Less vanilla idea: Once you've collected all (or a specific threshold) items that you *can* obtain, you receive a new item that unlocks a whole new tree of items. Oh, you got all the wood items? Here's a lava bucket, go make a cobble generator and then make all the stone items.

Minecraft map idea: One of those super-minimalist skyblock challenges, but the random tick speed and loot tables have been adjusted so you don't have to wait around for literal real-life days. Everything would be theoretically possible in vanilla, but like, waiting is not fun.

Silly Minecraft server idea 5: Server that only allows bots to join. (No, not ai, I mean finely crafted scripts.) Human players get put into spectator mode. While they can't play themselves, they might be able to influence the bots somehow. Maybe watchable from a livestream too?

Silly Minecraft server idea 4b: Idea 4a, but with block/entity loot tables instead of (or together with) recipes. Breaking blocks and killing entities would be able to give any item. This would need to be limited to a relatively small amount of items per table to prevent lag.

Silly Minecraft server idea 4a: Default crafting/smelting/etc. recipes are disabled. Players can enter custom recipes on a website. If the recipe is still available, add it. Will players use this to recreate vanilla recipes, get OP stuff, spam trash recipes, or all of the above?

Silly Minecraft server idea 3: A void world. New players spawn on a newly generated SkyBlock island somewhere in that void. Uses a datapack to make sure trees leave saplings. Will the players team up, will they stay mostly independent or will they get competitive?

Reposting my thread about silly Minecraft server ideas here so I can add to it Idea 1: A server on which daytime is synchronised with real-life time, so an in-game day takes 24 hours instead of 20 minutes. Maybe even with weather pulled from real life.
